Forrest Barbee, a member of the Boards of Directors for the Greater Las Vegas Association of REALTORS and the Nevada Association of REALTORS, will speak to the July meeting about the state of the real estate market in Las Vegas. He plans on presenting a diverse discussion of the residential and commercial market places, including Sun City Anthem. He will discuss the impact of any newly passed legislation, the impact of foreclosures, as well as scams that senior citizens need to avoid. 

Forrest currently holds the positions of Corporate Broker and Director of Education & Brokerage Informaiton for Prudential Americana Group, REALTORS . he has been with Americana Group since April 2003 and brings a diversified background in corporate management, information technology, and education. Forrest also co-found three separate businesses during the 1980's and 90's as an outgrowth of his own personal management and technology consulting "hobby". He led a successful turnaround for the owner of a privately held company that was heading for insolvency.

Prior to settling in Las Vegas in 2000, Forrest was successful in setting up two separate Associate Degree programs as well as a technology academy at Northamption Community College in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. At the Americana Group in Las Vegas he co-developed significant management and agent training programs and courses for classroom and online delivery this past year. These enable Forrest to be an effective communicator, who has appeared many times on several local television programs, such as "Face-to-Face" with Jon Ralson and "In Business Las Vegas" on Las Vegas 1 (Channel 19).
