Forrest Barbee, a member of the Boards of Directors for the Greater Las Vegas Association of REALTORS and the Nevada Association of REALTORS, provided our membership with an analysis of the Las Vegas residential real estate market, including a comparison to Sun City Anthem properties. His slides and discussion indicated that Sun City has been more successful in selling property in the mid-price range (above the median price) than in other subdivisions in the Las Vegas Valley. We have had fewer bank foreclosures being resold, which means that residents are more successful in selling than in the valley. He also discussed the impact of newly passed legislation, paying particular attention to the impact on homeowners associations. Feedback from several members was very positive. |
